Taking in the energy of Fall!

Had to run some errands with my husband, but I didn’t mind with the fall colors in prime up north here in michigan. It was a kind of a cool fall day, but with the sun peeping out and after having a week of rain, it was lifting my spirits on the ride.

We arrived at our destination in the middle of a dense area in the country and pulled into this small hunting shop. I knew with my husband being the talker he was and this shop wasn’t for me, I was going to spend my time enjoying season outside.

Don’t get me wrong,  I’ve put my time in with standing next to him in shops like these for years, learning about all things hunting. So much so, I tagged a buck 27yrds with my bow, then had to conquer gun/mussleloader season. Being I’m competitive with my husband 😄

Long story short, I had softened up as a mom, had grown a love for animals, and picked up way too many hobbies like embracing mother nature and all she offers.

With sun coming out and my husband busy for at least an hour, I had a chance to get my furry friend out of the truck to enjoy this afternoons walk with me. There was so much to see just from the driveway. There was this little mini outhouse with a cute moon door crafted up nicely. But how perfect did it look with the grand views behind it with the fall color tree line. I thought it was picturesque…..for outhouse anyway.

Loki & I walked down the driveway, and I had to take a picture of this blazing red tree with a nice contrast of the white fence underneath. How country cute with the birdhouse on the rail. Woo, there’s a picture!

Mr. Loki and I turned at the driveway to head down the country road. I felt the energy from the sun shining down on my face. It was long needed after 2 weeks of darkness with harsh rain. I started kicking my feet in the leaves as I walked excitedly like a kid again down the road with the anticipation of what i’m going to find along the way.

For all my walking adventures, especially down this long country road. I make sure to use this reflective dog vest thats on my guy in the picture above. It has a heavy-duty handle that helps me control him if he gets spooked by something in the woods or trying to run after a crider. If I have to pull on him hard for some reason, that the vest is not at the neck and comfortable for him. He’s had this dog vest for several years. It’s been through the wash and swimming. I highly recommend that if interested, hit the link below.

Just seeing the deep evergreen pines mixed in with the birch trees with pops of yellow reminds me of the reasons why I fell in love with landscapes and started oil painting. The depths of colors produced by nature always humbles me. Having all this beauty around me and taking in the fresh air helps me clear my head for the things that matter

What matters the most to me, my health, family, friends, & all of nature!

I was feeling so energized, and I kept going. All the way to what creek?..ha ha! If all else fails, I’ll call my husband to pick me up. 👍

And yes, your health should be #1 since everything in your life depends on it. I felt very lucky to be out and walking when sometimes you don’t get the choice for health reasons. Exercising from walking the dog, getting fresh air, and feeling all the positive energy from nature is all the remedy I needed to get through another week.

A afternoon journey with my best friend
on this beautiful fall day was the perfect way to bring in the season. Hope you all can get out to enjoy the fall colors up north here in michigan.

Here is a picture of the Fall Landscape oil painting I had mentioned. I’m inspired to do more!
